Many of our guests, when they eat at KOYA for the first time, are driven by nothing but the pure joy of discovery. KOYA is where the scents are as varied as the colors and every impression holds the promise of a new taste. In Vietnam, as in all of Asia, people understand how much all senses contribute to an all-around pleasant experience. Thus, colors, fragrances and the overall scenery are always seen as part of a memorable meal.
That is why we did not settle for simply cooking well. Not even the genuine Asian taste was good enough for our standards. We wanted to turn your restaurant visit into a place where a good time could be spent in every regard. The way we achieve this is with an entirely self-designed interior, including all furnishings. At the same time, the interior design and the impeccable service fit seamlessly into our overall concept: Your whole family, your whole circle of friends should feel comfortable with our creatively reinterpreted Asian dishes, experience the quality of our rich beverage selection, enjoy the comfort of the interiors and find the right menu items for each person’s individual taste. THE DIFFERENCE WE MADE
The History of a New Taste
When KOYA was founded in Paderborn in 2014, we already knew exactly what difference we wanted to make. Everywhere in the region, restaurant visitors had unsuccessfully been looking for a genuine Asian taste. Open to and hungry for a new experience, they had set out in search of authentic dishes – and yet again discovered only slight variations of what the already new.
Finally, Hieu Vo Tran changed the restaurant scene in and around Paderborn for good: after studying architecture in Heidelberg, as a specialist in interior design, an intimate connoisseur of Vietnamese cuisine and an already established importer of Asian food and spices, the KOYA concept finally manifested under the umbrella of the VO TRAN Group. And as our guests kept spreading the word about the exclusive quality of KOYA, the decision to open a second restaurant in Schloss Neuhaus, in addition to the already existing one in Paderborn, was all the easier.
For years now, we have been receiving daily acclaim for our unique approach – while remaining inventive, eager to experiment, and willing to keep improving.

Asian foods
At KOYA, we can vouch for the quality of every single ingredient. We personally select every item from growers in Asia, most of whom we have very close personal relationships with. As a VO TRAN Group brand, we source all the food we use to prepare our dishes from our own company’s wholesale operations. Thus, we can keep a close eye on all processes including cultivation, purchase, transport routes and the preparation in our own kitchens.
Our experience in food wholesale goes back more than 20 years – when the selection and freshness of the usual imported brands were simply no longer sufficient for our high standards. Therefore, we quickly became an importer ourselves and were soon able to offer customers in Germany a variety of tastes that had not been available before.
