Many of our guests, when they eat at KOYA for the first time, are dri­ven by not­hing but the pure joy of dis­co­very. KOYA is whe­re the scents are as varied as the colors and every impres­si­on holds the pro­mi­se of a new tas­te. In Viet­nam, as in all of Asia, peop­le under­stand how much all sen­ses con­tri­bu­te to an all-around plea­sant expe­ri­ence. Thus, colors, fra­gran­ces and the over­all sce­ne­ry are always seen as part of a memo­r­able meal.

That is why we did not sett­le for sim­ply coo­king well. Not even the genui­ne Asi­an tas­te was good enough for our stan­dards. We wan­ted to turn your restau­rant visit into a place whe­re a good time could be spent in every regard. The way we achie­ve this is with an ent­i­re­ly self-desi­gned inte­rior, inclu­ding all fur­nis­hings. At the same time, the inte­rior design and the impec­ca­ble ser­vice fit seam­less­ly into our over­all con­cept: Your who­le fami­ly, your who­le cir­cle of friends should feel com­for­ta­ble with our crea­tively rein­ter­pre­ted Asi­an dis­hes, expe­ri­ence the qua­li­ty of our rich beverage selec­tion, enjoy the com­fort of the inte­riors and find the right menu items for each person’s indi­vi­du­al tas­te. THE DIFFERENCE WE MADE

The History of a New Taste

When KOYA was foun­ded in Pader­born in 2014, we alrea­dy knew exact­ly what dif­fe­rence we wan­ted to make. Ever­y­whe­re in the regi­on, restau­rant visi­tors had unsuc­cess­ful­ly been loo­king for a genui­ne Asi­an tas­te. Open to and hungry for a new expe­ri­ence, they had set out in search of authen­tic dis­hes – and yet again dis­co­ve­r­ed only slight varia­ti­ons of what the alrea­dy new.

Final­ly, Hieu Vo Tran chan­ged the restau­rant sce­ne in and around Pader­born for good: after stu­dy­ing archi­tec­tu­re in Hei­del­berg, as a spe­cia­list in inte­rior design, an inti­ma­te con­nois­seur of Viet­na­me­se cui­sine and an alrea­dy estab­lis­hed importer of Asi­an food and spi­ces, the KOYA con­cept final­ly mani­fes­ted under the umbrel­la of the VO TRAN Group. And as our guests kept sprea­ding the word about the exclu­si­ve qua­li­ty of KOYA, the decisi­on to open a second restau­rant in Schloss Neu­haus, in addi­ti­on to the alrea­dy exis­ting one in Pader­born, was all the easier.

For years now, we have been recei­ving dai­ly acc­laim for our uni­que approach – while remai­ning inven­ti­ve, eager to expe­ri­ment, and wil­ling to keep improving.

Asian foods

At KOYA, we can vouch for the qua­li­ty of every sin­gle ingre­dient. We per­so­nal­ly select every item from gro­wers in Asia, most of whom we have very clo­se per­so­nal rela­ti­ons­hips with. As a VO TRAN Group brand, we source all the food we use to pre­pa­re our dis­hes from our own company’s who­le­sa­le ope­ra­ti­ons. Thus, we can keep a clo­se eye on all pro­ces­ses inclu­ding cul­ti­va­ti­on, purcha­se, trans­port rou­tes and the pre­pa­ra­ti­on in our own kitchens.

Our expe­ri­ence in food who­le­sa­le goes back more than 20 years – when the selec­tion and fresh­ness of the usu­al impor­ted brands were sim­ply no lon­ger suf­fi­ci­ent for our high stan­dards. The­re­fo­re, we quick­ly beca­me an importer our­sel­ves and were soon able to offer cus­to­mers in Ger­ma­ny a varie­ty of tas­tes that had not been avail­ab­le befo­re.
